Black & white should be possible, just connect the S-550's monochrome out to the according input pin of the SCART connector. There are cinch-to-SCART adaptors available, these are used for camcorders for instance. I think (but I'm not sure) most colour TVs don't have the RGB pins of the SCART connected, so S-550 RGB out to SCART might not work. I don't know in which part of the world you are, the S-550's video out is NTSC (American standard), and connecting it to a PAL or SECAM TV may require some adjustments at the TV (sometimes there are knobs at the TV's back side). I'm using a standard black and white TV with both my S-330 (NTSC) and S-760 (PAL), it requires a little tweaking sometimes when I switch the samplers. Yes, in the documentation it is stated that this file is corrupted. You should print the .txt at the top of the archive to have an indexed list of the S50 & S550 libraries. I'm not shure of that, but the Rock Composer's Tool is available for the S50 (don't know if it's exactly the same). You can download the S50 one and use the convert tool of your S550 to load it... I use the black & white output from the sampler right now, but would like to use colour instead. I have been in contact with a lot of music stores, but they do not have any cables in stock any more. And Roland don't have any either (Sweden). The philips monitor have an 8-pin din connection as well as scart. Is it just an 1-1 mapping between the sampler and the monitor, or is it necessary to invert sync signals, etc? I am also curious to find out if anyone has successfully mounted an internal harddrive into their s750, and how did you do it? kind regards Daniel _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. - Sent by the sgroup mailing list on lists.uunet.ca For subscription information, send mail to majordomo@lists.uunet.ca and see http://www.generalconcepts.com/sgroup/ for more information.
