While SDISK was designed for floppies, it is remotely possible that it may work with other media. Nic? Presumably "any platform" is really any common platform. While SDISK was designed for floppies, it => is remotely possible that it may work with other media. Nic? Sorry, SDISK only works with floppies. It makes calls to the BIOS to read sector by sector. I too have been on the lookout for the equivalent of 'dd' for windows so I can save my S7xx Zip disks to image files that I can save away somewhere and reconstruct to a zip disk in the event of failure. I would have thought this was a common enough type of utility, but alas I couldn't find anything suitable. So, I boot up Linux and dd them instead... However, many of the CDROM writer packages will read an image to a file, but after that you can only burn it to a CD (ie. not reconstitute back to a disk). I think CDRWIN (www.goldenhawk.com from memory) will do that. That might be useful for some? Last "holy" night I've tried to burning my Hd 750 and I did the followings steps:

1) Import the Hdisk scsi copy with Toast (using scsi copy) on Mac
2) On the Mac I had at that point an 1,1G of rom image .
3) Toast doesn't want burning it due to excessive file dimension
4) I've LOST ALL THE DATA IN MY HD -750 and I don't know why ... Infact after importing on the Mac the Hd image (1,1 G although the real dimension is 650Mg) my S750 never recognized my hard disk data (it said unformatted!!!!).

So is there a vital soulution? Please Answer me!!!
Remember the only things that I have right now, is a 1,1 G image of s750 on Mac desktop ,apparently useless; Transfer station is not able to read the image that I can't burning . Is there a software that allows to split a scsi image in two Cds? So I can read the samples from Cds burned and save them newly on my HD!!
THANK IN ADVANCE
