It took a little longer, I created some partials with layered samples and squeezed the basic sounds onto one disk. Anyway I just sent them to John. To make you all curious, here's a short description of the organ and the samples: What is a Philicorda? The Philicorda is a small home organ (one manual, four octaves, three footages) which was popular in the sixties. There were earlier models with tubes, however the one I took the samples from is all transistor. On the front panel there are three footage switches, 8', 4' and 2', and five "Vox" filter switches, labelled Vox I ... Vox V. The mix of the three footages set by the footage switches is fed into the Vox filters Vox I, Vox II, Vox IV and Vox V. Vox III is always fed by the 2' footage, regardless of the footage switches setting (even if all three are off). The Philcorda also has vibrato and contains a spring reverb. Vibrato and reverb intensity can be set with front panel knobs. The manual can be split so that the lower part has an "automatic chord" feature. Which samples are on the disk? On this disk are mostly dry samples, no vibrato (this can easily be done with the S-760's LFO), no automatic chords. I've added a few samples with reverb turned on. I only sampled the organ with one footage and one Vox filter on. I sampled it with one sample per octave over a five octaves range. To get the fifth octave, I used the 2' footage instead of the 8' footage which was used for the other octaves. The sound of more than one footage or/and more than one Vox can be obtained by layering samples. On the disk are some partials and patches with layered footages and one Vox filter. Of course way more layering options are possible, even those that cannot be done on the Philicorda itself. Thanks to John for hosting the samples.
